If I have to see one more patient with a fever, cough, and sorethroat I am just going to die! With all this swine flu craziness we have been busier than ever at the emergency room! Every person in San Bernardino county who has the sniffles is coming into Arrowhead Regional Medical Center Emergency Room to be checked and treated for the swine flu. I have been working over the last few days, and it is just CHAOS! The waiting room is completely full with barely any standing room. Every patient is wearing a mask even if they came in for toe pain. And now we have set up tents outside for all of our flu patients to wait in. I think that our patients think we have some special treatment for the flu...but we don't. Or they think they have to be admitted to the hospital if this is what they have. Our ER doesn't even have a test to tell you if you have the flu. If a patient meets certain criteria, we send a test out to the lab, but who knows how long that takes! If you have the flu do youself (and the ER) a favor and stay home!
For some strange reason the boy likes to sleep with something on top of his head. This is how we found him tonight when we went to put a blanket on him. He was asleep in the corner of his crib with his puppy covering his face.
And this is how we find him almost every night. He usually puts his blankie over his face and sucks his thumb. Silly boy!
Jeremy and I have been doing some work on our house. Well, actually we have been paying other people to do some work on our house! It is not complete yet, but I thought I would share some work in progress pictures. The above picture is a before picture of our house being painted. Currently the exterior is a whitish color, but looks pinkish and the trim is a very worn out pale gray. We are having it painted with a few variations of brown.
Our kitchen is getting granite counter tops. This is a picture of what I am living with for a week until they install the granite. If you are wondering where the sink and stove are, they are absent...for a week!
Lots of construction going on here, but I can't wait to see the end result. I will post some after pictures when I get them!
Everett is now 7 months old and as fun as ever! He is also as heavy as ever weighing almost 20 pounds! He loves to giggle and play with his toys. He loves to talk! "Ba" is his favorite noise. He really likes being outdoors. One of his new tricks is pulling himself up on anything he can get his hands on....
He got a new car seat.....
And he loves to hang out with all his friends.....
Bath time is one of Everett's favorite times of the day. I love watching him splash like crazy and try to eat everything from his toys to his towel. It is definitely one of my favorite times of the day too!
