First Haircut

When Hudson was born Jeremy and I decided to let his hair grow for a whole year. I love the way 1 year old's look with their long messy hair! And Hudson's hair has been no exception. This little guy has had more than his share of bad hair days!

So, last week we decided it was time to go for his first haircut.

These are the before pictures......I sure miss all that golden baby hair!

We took him to John, the barber. He is the same barber that cut Everett's hair for the first time and also my brother's hair.

He did so well during the cut! No tears...just smiles!

And here is my handsome little guy after his first haircut!

One...

I cannot believe that it has been one year since my sweet baby was born. It feels like just yesterday I was snuggling with my little newborn and now we are celebrating his first birthday....time sure flies. I am really not ready for Hudson to be a one-year-old and would gladly postpone this celebration if it were up to me. I have had a tough time accepting this milestone...it just seems too soon. This last year has been wonderful and Hudson has been such a joy. I am so lucky to be his mommy!
Hudson was born 2 weeks after his due date and we should have known then that his was going to be a stubborn boy! This guy definitely wants things done his way....and as long as you comply he is the happiest little thing! I have told him more than once, "good thing you're cute!"

He is a complete mama's boy and always wants me to hold him... which I love by the way! He refuses to eat baby food and only wants things that he can feed himself. He really enjoys playing with toys lately and can keep himself busy for quite awhile. He is doing great with sleeping and napping and we have a great schedule these days. He says mama and dada all the time. He also says uh-oh and can sign more. He gives the best big open mouth kisses. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth...which drives us crazy! I am okay with toys in the mouth, but bugs are disgusting! He bites the sleeves of his long sleeve shirts...just like his brother. Although they do a few things the same, they are complete opposites in personality and looks! And Hudson thinks his brother is hilarious.

He still loves his pacifier and would suck on it all day if we let him. He has always crawled with one knee and one foot...which is really cute. He likes to put a toy in his mouth and crawl. He doesn't walk yet and really doesn't want to. Anytime we try to walk with him holding our hands he tries to sit down. And I am okay if this doesn't happen for a few more months. He has been a little small for his age, but seems to have grown a lot in the last month.

And he is one of the most adorable babies I have ever seen! I am so in love with this little guy and I can't imagine my life without him. I am so lucky!

Happy first birthday baby Hudson!

Trick or Treat!

Halloween was a blast this year! My sweet little boys dressed as Tigger and Pooh and loved every second of trick-or-treating! We stayed in our neighborhood and tagged along with our neighbors this year. Most of the kids are a little older and Everett's little feet could barely keep up. He was so tired that we had to carry him home! He had SO much fun and actually asked if he could sleep in his Pooh costume. Then in the morning he asked if he could wear it to school. So cute!

Everett wore this Tigger costume for his first halloween too and I am so glad we saved it!

A few days before halloween we headed over to the Rogina's pumpkin party to celebrate with all of our friends. The kids loved it and the Rogina's did a wonderful job as always.

The kids played a game of hot potato with a pumpkin...too cute!

This halloween was so much fun and I am sad to see it go. Now on to Thanksgiving....

We have been all over the place with these lucky boys lately! A few weeks ago we took them to the chino kids museum. They had a blast and did not want to leave!

The Fair 2011

My boys had a great time at the fair this year. Especially Everett! He was so excited to see these trains. He loved climbing through them and was fascinated by how big they were. He also had a blast going down the giant slides. He actually climbed all the way to the top and went down the slide all by himself multiple times! I was so impressed!

He really likes birds and this little bird landed on his hand to take his dollar.

Three

My silly boy turned three last week and we had a fighter jet birthday party to celebrate! He has grown and changed so much in the last year it is really amazing. He can speak pretty well and can always get his point across. He is potty trained completely during the day including naps. He speaks very well in spanish, thanks to his grandma. He will speak in english with Jeremy and I, but as soon as grandma shows up he suddenly speaks spanish. He loves his grandma so much and looks forward to the days he spends with her while we are working. He loves the movie Rio and does not want to watch anything else. He loves playing outside and taking walks. He also loves leaves and has to pick one up and carry it around everywhere we go. He seems to have developed such a sense of humor lately. He will make jokes and he thinks he is so funny! He also loves to imitate everything that we say and do. The other day he put one of his jets in time out. He stood there and waited. Then he told his jet that he was all done and to come give him a kiss. It was so cute...it was exactly what I do when I put him in time out! He has turned into such a fun silly boy and I love him more and more everyday!!

For his birthday party, I made cupcakes for his friends and family and topped them with cute little fighter jets, happy birthday signs, and 3's made by my good friend Laci.

We also made cake pops for the first time which turned out delicious!

His brother had a blast celebrating as well!

One of his favorite gifts was this lightning mcqueen computer which he has been playing with non-stop since his party.

This was the chaotic gift opening! Everyone wanted to help...except for the birthday boy. He just wanted to play!

Everett's friends enjoying their cupcakes!

Everett was lucky enough to also get to celebrate his birthday at school with all his new friends. So I made these treats and Hudson and I headed over to his school after lunch.

The kids enjoyed their cake pops and Everett was treated like a king!

Everett has been really into planes and jets lately. This is why we decided to throw him a fighter jet birthday. So as an additional birthday surprise Jeremy took both boys (without mom) out to an air museum. They had a blast. And Everett has been talking about it non-stop ever since. He tells me about a shark plane, a plane that crashed, a helicopter, and all the airplanes that were in the hanger. What a nice dad!

Happy 3rd birthday big boy!
