First day of School

Seriously!?!  Where does the time go.  This little guy started transitional kindergarten this week.  He is going to West Heritage this year and his teacher is Mrs. Todd.  So far he is LOVING it!  He is so excited to go to school every morning and seems to enjoy it so much.  He is always repeating things that his teacher says.  My favorite is when he got to chose something from the treasure box and she told him "you get what you get, and you don't throw a fit!"  He got a kick out of that one.
It is so hard for me to know that my little man will be going to school 5 days a week!  I miss having him here with me, but I know that transitional kindergarten is an amazing opportunity for him.  I am so proud of the little guy he is and I hope he enjoys this school year.
My other little man was DEVASTATED to watch his brother go to school without him.  It was absolutely heart breaking.  These boys are best buddies when they are home together.  They play together all day long and just love each other so much.  I knew Hudson would be sad, but I was not prepared for this.
Luckily, the next day Hudson got to start preschool and this took his mind off of missing his brother.  He is a little young for preschool. but I signed him up knowing that he would be missing Everett and that it would be good to get him socializing with other kids.  He goes to the same preschool that Everett went to for the last 2 years.  And his teacher is Mrs. Cindy, the same teacher that Everett had 2 years ago.
He had a great first day!  He had a lot of fun and Mrs. Cindy said he did really well with everything.  I know he would love to go more than 2 days a week, but I would miss him too much.  I know these boys are going to have an amazing year!

Palm Springs....and some adorable kiddos!

Recently we took a short lttle vacation to a resort in Palm Springs.  I knew we would not be able to do any big vacations this year with Ella being so little, so I wanted to plan something local for the boys.  My friend Emily told me about this great resort called Shadow Ridge and I knew it would be perfect!  Our room was on the golf course which the boys thought was pretty cool.

They loved playing in this kiddie pool!
And of course the water slide was their favorite part!

Overall it was a really great family vacation spot and I wished we could have stayed longer.

I took these photos of Ella a few weeks ago, but never got around to posting them.  At 2 months our little lady was 10 and a half pounds and 21 inches.  She loves to talk these days and can get pretty loud.  She loves her mobiles.  She really likes being held.  She sleeps great through the night and sometimes sleeps 12 hours without waking.
She also loves sucking on her hands and I am hoping she finds her thumb soon!  She still won't take the bottle, and I don't think she ever will.  We have been trying for over 2 months and she really hates it.
She has the craziest hair ever!  And I have no idea how to tame it!
These boys are still head-over-heels in love with her and I love watching them talk to her and play with her.  I am such a lucky mama!
