Three

My silly boy turned three last week and we had a fighter jet birthday party to celebrate! He has grown and changed so much in the last year it is really amazing. He can speak pretty well and can always get his point across. He is potty trained completely during the day including naps. He speaks very well in spanish, thanks to his grandma. He will speak in english with Jeremy and I, but as soon as grandma shows up he suddenly speaks spanish. He loves his grandma so much and looks forward to the days he spends with her while we are working. He loves the movie Rio and does not want to watch anything else. He loves playing outside and taking walks. He also loves leaves and has to pick one up and carry it around everywhere we go. He seems to have developed such a sense of humor lately. He will make jokes and he thinks he is so funny! He also loves to imitate everything that we say and do. The other day he put one of his jets in time out. He stood there and waited. Then he told his jet that he was all done and to come give him a kiss. It was so cute...it was exactly what I do when I put him in time out! He has turned into such a fun silly boy and I love him more and more everyday!!

For his birthday party, I made cupcakes for his friends and family and topped them with cute little fighter jets, happy birthday signs, and 3's made by my good friend Laci.

We also made cake pops for the first time which turned out delicious!

His brother had a blast celebrating as well!

One of his favorite gifts was this lightning mcqueen computer which he has been playing with non-stop since his party.

This was the chaotic gift opening! Everyone wanted to help...except for the birthday boy. He just wanted to play!

Everett's friends enjoying their cupcakes!

Everett was lucky enough to also get to celebrate his birthday at school with all his new friends. So I made these treats and Hudson and I headed over to his school after lunch.

The kids enjoyed their cake pops and Everett was treated like a king!

Everett has been really into planes and jets lately. This is why we decided to throw him a fighter jet birthday. So as an additional birthday surprise Jeremy took both boys (without mom) out to an air museum. They had a blast. And Everett has been talking about it non-stop ever since. He tells me about a shark plane, a plane that crashed, a helicopter, and all the airplanes that were in the hanger. What a nice dad!

Happy 3rd birthday big boy!

Summertime

We have been having so much fun this summer that there hasn't been much time left for blogging! So I thought I would show off some of the highlights of our summer.

Of course our summer was filled with time at the beach with our friends

Everett took private swim lessons this year and they were amazing!

Sue taught him everything! She was wonderful. She showed him how to hold his breath under water...

...how to climb out of the pool...

...how to walk along the edge and back to the steps, how to jump off the bottom when he goes under. Swim lessons were great and I can't wait to do them again next year.

Our 4th of July was spent doing fireworks with the neighbors. Everett and the other kids did sparklers.

Hudson was happy just to chew on my keys.

Some of our biggest news is that Everett started preschool last month! He goes to an awesome little christian preschool across the street from our house. I love that we can walk to and from preschool. I love that I get home from work in time to drop him off at preschool. And I LOVE that a few of our good friends have decided to send their kids to the same school! He has learned so much at school and he really looks forward to going every Tuesday and Thursday.

Early this summer we took Everett to see his first movie in the theater. Cars 2 was so cute and he did so well in the theater. His favorite character...Finn McMissile!

Our summer has been wonderful, but I am really looking forward to fall this year! I can't wait for cooler temperatures and the holiday season.
