Cornett Update

We have had such an amazing summer and I can't believe it is over! We got to end our summer with a birthday party for Everett last weekend. Jeremy came up with a great theme for Everett's second birthday, a motocross party that was lime green and black. And Laci made us fantastic invitations to match! It turned out really great and Everett loved having all of his friends over to celebrate! Jeremy and I had a lot of fun planning this party.... we just love spoiling our little boy!
I can’t believe how much he has changed in the past few months. He weighs 26 pounds now and has gone from a baby to a little boy! He talks like crazy now and repeats everything we say and do. Lately his favorite thing to say is goodbye to everything before he takes a nap or leaves the house, “bye bye shoes, bye bye cow, bye bye choo choo.” He is so sweet and so well behaved. I feel so lucky to be his mom!
We opened his gifts a few days after his party because we didn't think he would be very interested. We were so wrong! He loved opening them and couldn't wait to play with each one!

Our cake turned out really great too...exactly what we wanted!

We rented this really great waterslide for the kids and they seemed to love it!
Our summer has been really busy, but so fun! Everett is lucky enough to have a few friends and family with pools, so we did a lot of swimming this year! We also did a lot of running through sprinklers and playing outside. He is such a great kid, but he sure has a lot of energy!

Things have been going great with my second pregnancy. I am 33 weeks now and I just can’t wait to meet our second son. I am going off of work 2 weeks from today and I am thrilled! I usually work about 3 12 hour shifts a week and Jeremy works the other 4 days, so I can’t wait to spend some extra time at home with Everett and Jeremy before the new baby comes. We are always so busy it will be nice to slow down a bit. We also still have a lot to do to prepare for this baby and it will be great to finally focus on that. I will be going back to work in February, so it will be really nice to have the entire holiday season off with my boys.
Jeremy has been really busy too. In addition to working, he has been training to run, bike, and swim a triathlon. The race is on September 25th in San Dimas and should be a lot of fun! Everett and I can’t wait to cheer him on. Then Jeremy also has an upcoming vacation to look forward to. Well, not really a vacation, but 6 weeks off of work to help out with the new baby. I am very happy that I will get so much help from him…I have a feeling I am going to need it! He is such a great dad and always so much help… I am so lucky to have him!

Raging Waters

Jeremy and I took Everett to Raging Waters last week. It was a lot of fun! We don't have too many days off with all 3 of us, so we really enjoyed our day together. We even stayed out way past naptime and Everett fell asleep in the car on the way home....and then slept for over 3 hours when we got home! Two very rare events for this child!

They had a great kid area that Everett could play in...
We took him on the lazy river, but he was not too happy with the life vest.....
This water slide was just for toddlers. We would walk him to the top and he would slide down all by himself.
He loved it! He must have gone down this slide 20 times! He laughed the whole way down!
We had such a great day and I can't wait to do it again!

4th of July

Our 4th of July started out in Oceanside at my dad and Carolyn’s beach condo. Unfortunately it was quite cold and we spent a lot of time like this…..
Everett had a great time feeding the fish in the beautiful ponds though…
…and he loved running around on the mini golf course too.
We did manage to get a little pool time in though. Everett is getting great at blowing bubbles and our new underwater camera is a lot of fun too!
The pool was a little cold for Everett (and me). Poor guy was purple and shivering by the time we got out. He kept saying “all done.”
Since the weather was so poor we decided to take a trip to Legoland and we had a great time!
There was a small water area in the back of Legoland that was a complete surprise...
We were not prepared, so Everett ran around in his t-shirt and a diaper!
So then we ended up buying a towel and a new t-shirt! He had SO much fun though..it was defintely worth it!
This was our first trip ever to Legoland and it was very cool. Here is the white house made of lego's....
We came back from Oceanside on the 3rd and decided to spend the 4th with Jeremy's family at his uncle Dave's house. We had a great day and night of swimming, eating, and watching fireworks. Jeremy and I got creative with our 4th of July dessert...
Then we kept Everett up WAY too late to watch the firework show. He kept pointing at them and saying "Oooo...star." It was too cute!

22 weeks

22 long, exhausting, nauseating weeks have come to an end! Pregnancy #2 has been A LOT tougher than #1, but I feel like things are finally looking up. I have not vomited in about 3 weeks and I am feeling like I have a little more energy these days. Hopefully I will find some energy to start organizing baby stuff, because we have a lot to do! If only there were a few more hours in a day....

Fun in the sun

We have been having so much fun playing outside in the warm weather lately....

Unfortunately this last picture was taken right before my camera fell into the water last week...at least it was a cute one!
