Thirty!

So it is official...I have joined the dirty thirties! I had the most amazing time celebrating my 30th birthday with my friends and family. We had a dance party with an amazing band, some good food, and a lot of drinks! It was so much fun....and we danced the night away! I only left the dance floor to refill my cocktail. What a night!

The party had a blue and zebra print theme, and my amazing husband did most of the work on these centerpeices.

...And he and my good friend Laci did all of the work on these wonderful picture collages. These pictures that I took of them don't do them justice, but they turned out great!

I had such a blast turning 30! Thank you to all my wonderful friends and family...it wouldn't have been the same without you!

Springtime Fun

Slip and Slide

One hot day last week we decided to have some fun on the slip and slide!

We were having so much fun that we asked the Wares to join us...

Then we all took a dip in our (finally working) hot tub!

Five months

At 5 months my little guy is a smiling, belly loving, attempting to go crawling, sleeping (thank goodness!), almost sitting, bottle drinking (hallelujah!), drooling machine....and I just can't get enough of him! And guess who he got his good looks from......

...his mom! My dad found these old pictures and just couldn't believe how much Hudson resembles me as a baby.

4 months....and cute as ever!

It is hard to believe that Hudson turned 4 months last week. This week he had his 4 month check-up and is doing great! He weighs 13 pounds and 13 ounces and is 24 inches long. He changes so much everyday and is doing so many new things.

As I mentioned before, he really loves his feet. He also really loves his hands and if he is lucky enough to get a thumb or finger in his mouth, he is one happy baby! He even put himself to sleep once by sucking his thumb.

Just this week he started blowing raspberries...

Besides spitting everywhere, it is really cute!

He also found his voice this week. He will start screaming just for the heck of it. This is also really cute, but not so much at 5am. He drinks out of a sippy cup now.....just kidding! But he looked really cute trying this afternoon! The last few months have been really hectic for us. Hudson was refusing to take a bottle after I went back to work. I work nights, so he was missing his bedtime and middle of the night feedings. As you can imagine, this started causing a lot of night time wakings for him (and us!). And this only allowed me to sleep between feedings after getting home from work. So needless to say, none of us have gotten much sleep this past month! There are much larger problems than this in the world, I understand, but our little world is being rocked by this right now. I am happy to report that we have made a little progress on the bottle. (Don't want to say too much and jinx myself!) But it seems like night sleeping is worse than ever. He has made a habit of waking up and this is going to be tough to fix. And he was such a great night sleeper before this. Hopefully we can make some progress on sleeping now that we have made some progress on the bottle. The good news is he does not seem to be the least bit affected by any of this and is one of the happiest (and cutest) babies ever! Happy 4 month birthday baby Hudson!
